CATCH THE WIND
A sailing simulator, right in your browser.
Steer a sailboat, trim the sail and watch the wind and water shape your course. Explore at your own pace, practice the basics, or head for the starting line.
Start free in Sundrift. No account or download required.

Find your own stretch of water.
Nine virtual destinations take you from open horizons and wooded islands to tropical reefs, Mediterranean coves, busy waterways and an icy southern bay. Adjust the breeze, waves and time of day, then sail, anchor or tie up where the conditions allow.
Try Cedar Reach for rocky shores and a lighthouse, Aegean Isles for island villages, or Albatross Bay for icebergs and wildlife. These are virtual environments; the charts are for the simulator.
The wind makes the difference.
Your heading and sail trim affect how the boat moves. Ease the sheet to let the sail out, pull it in to trim, and steer to find a useful angle to the wind. The boat’s speed, heel and sail movement help you see the result.
The model includes wind, waves, sail and foil forces, leeway, shelter and contact with the environment. It is a playable approximation, rather than a validated prediction of a real boat’s performance.
Choose how you sail.
- Explore: choose a place, change the conditions and find your own route.
