SAILING SCHOOL · FIRST SAIL
Learn by sailing.
Get the boat moving, find the wind and make your first tack. Five short, hands-on lessons let you practice the basics in Sundrift at your own pace.
Free as a guest. Choose any lesson and repeat it whenever you like.

Five things to try.
- Get underway: pull the sheet in a little, watch the sail fill and get the boat moving.
- Steer a new course: use the tiller to turn, then settle onto a new heading.
- Feel the sheet: ease and trim the mainsheet, the rope that controls how far the sail swings out.
- Find a broad reach: sail with the wind coming from behind and to one side, rather than straight over the stern.
- Make your first tack: turn the bow through the wind and get sailing on the other side.
Watch, try, adjust.
Each lesson starts with an explanation, diagram and control guidance. During practice, progress bars and feedback show what you have achieved and what to try next. Open “How to do it” whenever you need the instructions again.
Choose lessons in any order, retry an attempt, or revisit a passed lesson. On touch screens, use the Tiller and Sheet controls; keyboard guidance is included for computer users.

Take it onto open water.
After practicing, choose a destination and sail without lesson goals, or try a solo practice race. You can return to Sailing School whenever you want a refresher.
These lessons teach through a simplified simulation. They complement practice and instruction on the water and do not provide certification or real-world boating guidance.
