Terms of Service

These terms cover Hull82, operated by Voyana Studio LLC, including solo sailing, Sailing School, digital purchases and multiplayer races.

Using Hull82

By using Hull82, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Accounts and online multiplayer are for people age 13 and older. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission. Purchases must be made by an adult or with an adult’s authorization. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information.

A sailing simulation

Hull82 and Sailing School are provided for entertainment and informal learning. Boats, weather, race rules and physical behavior are simplified and may contain errors. The service does not provide sailing certification, navigation guidance, professional instruction or advice for emergencies. Do not rely on it for real-world boating decisions.

Accounts and invitations

Keep your sign-in details secure and provide accurate account information. Hosting and purchases require a verified account; invited friends can join a race as guests. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. Invitation links are access links: people who receive them may be able to enter your room. Race credits and digital items are linked to the purchasing account and cannot be resold or transferred.

Digital purchases

Boat access and Workshop features are digital items for use within Hull82, not physical goods or ownership of the underlying software. A one-time purchase grants the described access while the relevant service is operated. Prices are shown in US dollars; applicable taxes are added and displayed at Stripe checkout. We do not offer an automatically renewing subscription with the Race Pack. Purchases are fulfilled after payment is confirmed, and you may need to check purchase status or sign back in if confirmation is delayed.

Race Packs and credits

• The current Race Pack costs $5 for 20 hosted races, plus applicable tax. One organizer can invite up to five friends; guests do not need to buy credits.
• Opening a lobby temporarily holds one credit. It is spent when the countdown begins. If the lobby closes before that, the credit is returned.
• Starting a rematch uses another credit. Reconnecting to the same race does not. A refund, payment dispute or reversal can reduce the balance, including credits already used, and may prevent further hosting until the balance is sufficient.
• If our server interrupts an unfinished race because of a service failure or restart, its credit is restored when the service can reconcile the race. Contact us if a credit is missing. Player departures, a player's connection or device failure, and ordinary race time limits do not by themselves restore a spent credit.
• Unused credits carry forward without a scheduled expiration or monthly renewal. They are account-bound digital usage rights, not money, and are not redeemable for cash except through an applicable refund or legal right.

Room availability and time limits

At launch, up to three races can run at once, with six sailors per room. Buying credits does not guarantee immediate capacity or reserve a server slot. No credit is held if all rooms are occupied. An unstarted lobby closes after ten minutes; a race ends at fifteen minutes after its start signal; a room closes after thirty minutes in total. Brief disconnections have a two-minute reconnection allowance. Finished or interrupted rooms and inactive sessions may close sooner. Repeatedly opening and abandoning lobbies may trigger a temporary hosting cooldown. We may adjust reasonable operational limits with notice in the service; changes to credit pricing will apply to future purchases.

Refunds and service changes

For an accidental or duplicate purchase, unused credits, an item that was not delivered, or another purchase problem, contact support@voyanastudio.com with your purchase reference. We review refund requests based on usage, the circumstances and applicable consumer law. An approved full refund removes the associated digital access or credits; a partial Race Pack refund reduces credits proportionally, rounded up to a whole credit. Refunds are returned through the original payment provider where possible. These terms do not exclude statutory cancellation, refund, warranty or other consumer rights.

Hull82 is evolving, and features may change or be unavailable during maintenance. If we permanently discontinue paid race hosting, we will provide notice and a way to request a proportional refund for unused purchased credits. We do not promise that the service will operate forever or without interruption.

Fair play and chat

Be respectful. Do not harass others, impersonate someone, post unlawful or abusive material, expose another person’s private information, spam chat, cheat, interfere with races, bypass payment or capacity limits, or probe the service without permission. Do not send sensitive personal information through room chat. Chat is visible to room participants and is not continuously moderated. Report abuse using the contact address below; leave a room if you do not want to interact with its participants.

We may restrict an account or session to address abuse, fraud, security incidents or violations of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the restriction and allow you to contact us about a mistake. Suspension does not limit refund or other rights required by law.

Your content and our software

You keep any rights you hold in names, messages and designs you submit. You give us permission to store, process and display that content as needed to operate Hull82, including showing room messages and boat designs to participants. Only submit content you have permission to use. Hull82’s software, artwork and branding belong to their respective owners. Your access is a limited permission to use the service, not permission to redistribute or sell its assets.

Availability and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Hull82 is provided as available, without promises of uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose. To that same extent, Voyana Studio LLC is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees, fraud, deliberate misconduct or other mandatory protections.

Changes and questions

We may revise these terms and will update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel. Changes will not retroactively change the price of a completed purchase or remove rights required by law.
