Privacy Policy

Hull82 is a browser sailing simulation operated by Voyana Studio LLC. This policy explains what we collect when you sail, learn, purchase digital items or race with friends.

Information we collect

• Accounts: your account identifier, email address, verification status, sign-in provider, display name and profile picture if provided by your sign-in provider, and account creation and sign-in activity. Authentication is handled by Firebase.
• Your sailing: saved boat designs, preferences, Sailing School progress, race results, personal bests and saved race replays. Some preferences and guest progress stay in your browser; account features may save them in the cloud.
• Purchases: purchase references, products, amounts, taxes, payment status, digital access rights and race-credit balances and usage. Stripe collects payment and billing details and processes payments. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code. Stripe may provide transaction and limited billing information needed to manage purchases, refunds and disputes.
• Multiplayer: the sailing name you choose, room membership, chat messages, boat positions and controls, connection status, race results and hosting account identifier. Guests can join through an invitation without making an account.
• Technical and support data: our hosting and payment providers process network information such as IP addresses, request times, browser or device information and error logs. If you contact us, we receive the information you send.

How we use information

We use this information to run and secure Hull82, sign you in, save your progress, fulfill purchases, maintain credit balances, synchronize races, handle support and refunds, investigate faults or abuse, and meet accounting and legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Hull82 does not include advertising.

Usage analytics

We use Google Analytics on our production website to understand visits, place selections and sailing starts, and to improve Hull82. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information such as browser and device details, approximate location, referral source and interactions with the site. Our place-selection and sailing-start events contain place identifiers and activity types, without account identifiers, email addresses, sailor names, chat messages or payment details. We remove query strings and invitation fragments from the page URLs we provide to Analytics. Advertising signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our integration. Local development and temporary previews do not send Analytics events.

What other sailors can see

People in your race room can see your sailing name, boat, position, race progress, connection status and room chat. Anyone with a valid invitation link may be able to join while space is available. Share links only with people you intend to invite, and avoid sharing private information in names or chat. Other players can copy or capture what they see.

Practice course records are publicly readable and include the fastest time, race reference, account identifier and completion date. Email addresses and account profile details are not included in those public records. Private account history and replays are restricted to your account.

Providers and other disclosures

We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud for hosting, authentication, data storage and race servers, and Stripe for payments, tax calculation and payment-risk handling. These providers process information to deliver their services. See Firebase privacy information and Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or the service, resolve disputes, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate privacy protections. We do not give other players access to your billing details.

Browser storage

Hull82 uses browser storage and authentication technologies to remember sign-in, settings, boat designs, progress and the current race session. Google Analytics uses cookies for usage measurement. Payment and sign-in providers may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security and checkout. You can clear or restrict storage in your browser, but doing so may sign you out, interrupt reconnection or remove locally saved progress. Clearing browser data does not delete cloud records or purchase history.

Retention and security

Room chat is held in the race server’s memory, with the most recent 100 messages available to participants; it is not saved in the race-results database. This copy disappears when the room closes or the server restarts. Participants’ copies and support reports may remain.

Account data, saved progress, purchase records, credit usage and race results remain in our systems until removed through account administration or a deletion request, subject to records needed for security, tax, dispute or other legal purposes. Technical logs and backups may remain under provider retention settings. We use access controls and encrypted network connections, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can play available solo activities without an account, choose a nickname for multiplayer, edit supported account settings, and clear local browser data. To request access, correction, export or deletion of personal information, or to raise a privacy concern, contact support@voyanastudio.com. We may ask for enough information to verify the request. Deletion may remove saved progress and access to account-linked purchases; we will explain relevant consequences before processing it. Some transaction, security or legal records may need to be retained.

Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights, including rights to object to or restrict certain processing or complain to a data-protection authority. We will handle requests as required by applicable law. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Children

Hull82’s accounts and online multiplayer features are intended for people age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. Minors should use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission.

Changes and contact
